Potential new buyer

Hey guys, I'm new to the board. I registered because I'm considering purchase of a new G35 sport sedan (or a G37 Journey with the sport package, although I'm sure I'll get a much better deal on the G35 sport). Here are the other cars I'm looking at:

BMW 335i sedan
Lexus IS350

I've test drove a G35 sport and a 335i sedan and I'm scheduled to test drive the IS350 later this week. In case anyone wants to know anything about me; I'm 23 years old, graduated college (Virginia Tech, Go Hokies!) in 2006 and currently live and work in the Northern Virginia area (just outside of DC). I figured its about time I replace the car I've had since high school.

I've been reading about the deals people have gotten and it seems that if you are a good negotiator you can get some good deals on an 07 G35. What should I expect to pay for an '07 G35 Sport with the premium package and navi (having the XM live traffic feature would be great given where I live). I've already put in a request for quotes via Edmunds.com. Thanks in advance.

Looking to replace my Mercedes C55 AMG. Awesome car but it's going out of warrenty and Mercedes has lots of reliablitliy issues. My car spent a lot of time getting MAJOR repairs.

I tested the BMW 335i w/sport package & navigation last week. It was a nice tight ride with a very sporty (although stiff) interior but wow is the price tag hard to swallow. ($48,000ish) I drove the Infinity G35 Sport with Premium Pkg and Nav pkg. Felt a lot like my Mercedes C55 AMG. Never thought I would consider an Infinity after my C55. Luxury sports sedan at a reasonable price. (Wonder how they hold thier value, though)

I got a price from an internet inquiry from my local dealer of $37,617 for a G35 Sport with Premium pkg and Navigation pkg. I'm thinking I can do better than that considering the '08s are coming out and there aren't any changes. (that I'm aware of) Would love to hear what you negotiate.

BTW: Congrats on graduating college.

Thank you, crazy that a G35 is comparable to the C55. And yeah I agree the price of the 335i was hard to swallow, especially since its not that much different performance wise from the G. I'll be out trying to get the car on saturday so I'll keep everyone posted on what I'm able to get.
