For those of you that financed your car through USAA, did you have to be in the military to be a member to get an auto loan for them. They seem to have really good rates comapared to the rest. Thanks for your time.
i was not personally in the military, but my dad was in the air force. i will def have my kids sign up for usaa when the time comes. if you have any questions, i def recommend calling them, they are always really nice and very helpful.
If your parents ever had USAA you can join, but here are the requirements.. My insurance is only $109 for a 03 G35C, 01 QX4 and home insurance.. They are great..
Membership is open to:
Children of USAA members.
Active-duty officers and enlisted personnel.
National Guard and Selected Reserve officers and enlisted personnel.
Officer candidates in commissioning programs.
Recently retired or separated military personnel.
Former USAA members.

I want to Thank You guys for taking the reply with your input. I was talking to my writer today about how I had just gotten approved for a 5.29 rate at Pentagon Federal. He happend to mention USAA and he said that his girlfriend has insurance through USAA because her dad was in the military. I don't have any family members that are in the military...well at least immediate family. So I'm out of luck for their 4.99% rate on an auto loan. But i'm happy with 5.29% from Pentagon Federal.
Thanks again guys for your help.
