For those of you that financed your car through USAA, did you have to be in the military to be a member to get an auto loan for them. They seem to have really good rates comapared to the rest. Thanks for your time.

If your parents ever had USAA you can join, but here are the requirements.. My insurance is only $109 for a 03 G35C, 01 QX4 and home insurance.. They are great..

Membership is open to:
Children of USAA members.
Active-duty officers and enlisted personnel.
National Guard and Selected Reserve officers and enlisted personnel.
Officer candidates in commissioning programs.
Recently retired or separated military personnel.
Former USAA members.

I want to Thank You guys for taking the reply with your input. I was talking to my writer today about how I had just gotten approved for a 5.29 rate at Pentagon Federal. He happend to mention USAA and he said that his girlfriend has insurance through USAA because her dad was in the military. I don't have any family members that are in the military...well at least immediate family. So I'm out of luck for their 4.99% rate on an auto loan. But i'm happy with 5.29% from Pentagon Federal. Thanks again guys for your help.
