Buying 06 6MT

So I found an 06 6MT, black/black, premium, areo, nav, sunroof, spoiler, 19600 miles. I looked at the car this morning, looks like who ever owned it previously didn't keep it very clean even though it's been detailed. The cigarette lighter is used and there's a small burn on the driver's seat--so it was a smoker's car, but it's got potential. The body panels match up, it looks good so far, but I haven't driven it yet. The dealer is asking almost $32K, seems high to me, any suggestions?

IMO, a car with a dirty interior means the owner didn't care much for the car. I wouldn't spend $32K on a used, smoker car.... You might as well save a couple grand more and just buy new.... You didn't mention whether it was the coupe or sedan. Coupes generally have higher resale value. To summarize--I'd pass on this one....

Thanks for the input, I'm kinda leaning on another car already. It is a coupe, btw. I'm curious to know how much this car should sell for. Given the unknowns, does $26K sound right?

I think $26K is fair. It still has warranty, so that's good. Main thing is can you live with a dirty interior and a previously-smoked-in car, if you're a nonsmoker.... My wife and I made the mistake of buying a smoker's Accord a while back, and we traded it in after owning it just 3 months because the residual smoke smell became unbearable....

From what I have reading on these forums and 2nd hand sales on non dealer websites... the 2004s are going for low $20s... not 2006s.

You will end of paying in the $27K-$29K range for a 2006.
