First Infiniti G35. Not fantastic but reasonable?

I just signed a lease for G35x, premium, nav pkg, splash guard, cargo net, wood trim for 39 month lease for 12,000 miles.

483.00, including 10% philadelphia tax.

Did a quick calculation on lease calculator and it comes down to:

cap cost $37620
61% residual: $24354
money factor: .0016
Term 39 months
Sales tax %10 (I just moved to Philly, and this is simply ridiculous...oh wells)

=

$483.24 per month

MSRP $40,175.00

Anyone think I got ripped off/could have gotten a lot better deal? I would like to hear.

And also as this my first G35, first infiniti, first post on this forum, just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Cheers!

Sounds reasonable...You can always do better, and the dealer always makes money...the bottom line is, are you happy? Do you like the car? You can always ask, what if?
But I understand you want some peace of mind you got a decent deal, I would say Sure.
I'm assuming this is an '08? new 07+ model correct? Take solace in the fact that you got the new style & prem/Nav pkge, something you may wish you have gotten later. A friend who bought an '06 G35x was kicking himself later when he realized the styling and hp was upgraded in '07. Well, some people can't wait and some people don't do their homework... He has similar payments to yours, yet you have a totally different car.
Enjoy.

Yes, it is brand new 08 model with the 3.5 liter 306hp (?) engine. I wouldn't have gotten the prev generation g35.

And yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. Trying to find some solace in the deal that I made. Yes, I do like the car otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten it. But hearing about some of the other deals that people have made makes me wonder if that was the norm.

Thanks for the reply.

And with your friends, he probably bought it a while ago? You can't just wait forever and have to make the purchase at some point right?

Yes, 306hp up from 298.
He bought it late 2006, so he could have waited a few more months. But was worried about the price.
I personally don't have a G35 yet but I've done my pricing research and I think you do ok. I'm on the forums trying to learn more about them and will likely get a pre-owned 07/08 in the near future. I have an 05 Maxima, so not a very sporty car but has similar power and I have a Saab 9-3 turbo which I'll be trading for the G. ;-)
