2005 G35C 6MT...Good deal?
2005 G35C 6MT...Good deal?
Hey guys,
This would be my first post after scouring these boards for a couple of months. I am in the market for a G and recently tracked down a 2005 G35 Couple 6MT. It has 25K miles, aero package, sunroom etc, and Athens Blue in color.
Dealership wants $25K...no-haggle pricing, no exceptions.
How would you rate this deal? I have seen the car, and the front bumper has its fair share of minor dings and scratches, but otherwise it is in great shape.
Also, this is an "AutoMax" dealership, so the last step of the purchase is actually driving the car away...meaning no test drives before the purchase is actually signed off.
Thanks in advance to those who reply

Sounds like a good price, but I would run a carfax before you even look at it.
Also if you don't know how to look at the paint on the car to see if it was repainted, or you don't know much about mechanics of the G35 then I would defn bring someone who does with you.
Also get the vin and call an infiniti dealer and get the service records on the car.
You need to be careful because they wont let you test drive it.

Do more homework, you can probably get a 2K6 for that price. Many, and I do mean many members on here have paid close to that price recently for fully loaded G coupes. i paid prmium $$$$ fr my G last year from a dealer but, I bought exactly what I wanted. Make sure you get to test drive whatever you buy. Demand a carfax also.
Thanks for the replies guys.
I've actually done quite a bit of homework, and was a little skeptical of this price and dealership.
Back in January I haggled a '05 Coupe 5AT down to $22K. It had 35K miles. I didn't want the car (the car I originally went to look at wasn't in the greatest condition) but I haggled the price just to see get an idea of what price range I could land an '05 that was fully loaded.
Time isn't too much of a factor in hunting down a car...so I might remain patient and pass on this dealership's offer.
Thanks

Yeah definetly take your time and be patient when searching. I waited a year and a half waiting and one weekend just decided to go looking at dealerships and ended up purchasing one. I decided to purchase my car from an infiniti dealership and not an independent one. Sounds kinda shady that they will not even let you test drive the car. I'd be wary of that place. Just a piece of advice.
