What can I expect to pay for an 05 AT Coupe now in 2nd qtr 2008?

Per this thread here

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...19#post2888519

I've just heard we can negotiate the price of coupes down to 16-17K/

As for me, I'm about to purchase in 30 days now. I'm aiming to not spend more than 18K but if I can get them down to 16 or less I'll be REALLY happy.

I have 2K to put down on the car now. This is what I want...IP Coupe 04-05((preferably 05 for the interior/rev up motor)) about 20-40K miles, wheat interior...Auto tranny. No burning oil of course haha

Experts, I need your help...how much can I realistically expect to pay for 05? Thanks in advance

dealerships always sell too high, but owners will never let go for their cars for the same price the dealer sells for

You get what you pay for; be wary of low priced cars. Get a car history, ask for a maintenance record, check the tires, drive it hard, etc.

We sell our cars for what they go for with good reason; people will pay a little bit more for our cars because a year or two down the road, they won't have to put thousands in the car for new tires, brakes, fluid changes, etc.

I guess it varies around the country, but here in DFW Texas, I paid $26.6K last month for 05 AT coupe with the sport suspension and aero packages and less than 18K miles from Grubbs Infinity. It's in excellent condition (nary a scratch) and it's certified. The original asking price was $27.9K. Checking on cars.com seems to confirm that I got a good deal. I'm very happy with it.

I did look at some that were cheaper (around 22-24K) but they looked very rough around the edges. Probably fine mechanically, but not as well taken care of. Check the carfax and get the real story. And keep in mind 1 owner may be a car rental company. Mine was a 1 owner, local, who originally bought the car from Grubbs and had it serviced there. Plus it is Lakeshore Slate which seems to be hard to find around here.

Good Luck

Thanks guys. This is the listing that got me started in the first place on this whole 2005 G coupe for under 20K thing

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

What do you guys think? At the moment, the KBB private party value is

Excellent
$24,575

Good
$23,310

Fair
$21,525

The only thing that's odd about this ad to me is this part

Must finance thru dealer to receive special pricing listed above. Severity of credit may affect down payments. Internet prices are final. These vehicles are priced to sell. Sales prices do not include Tax, DMV, Prep.& Recon fee.

Mike can they legally charge recondition and prep fees? I thought that's supposed to be in the price already??

And what do you guys think about the brake rotors in the pictures on the site?

I haven't had the chance to speak with the dealer yet but when I do I'll fill you guys in on what they have to say about these things.

If I'm travelling all the way to NY there better not be any suprises. I want everything already crossed and dotted before I hop on the plane

A dealer can charge whatever they want to.

Obviously that price listed isn't what you're paying for the car.

If you're local to me, send me a PM.

I'm in So-Cal.
