Trade-in Scion XB - Are KBB values true?
I'm looking to get a G35 and my 2005 scion XB has a 6 year (4 years left) 100K bumper to bumper warranty on it with 50K . It's in good condition and according to KBB the trade in value is $8,770.
I'm looking to put down 15K cash on my. My question is how far off (If Any) from your past experience are the KBB trade in to what you will actually get from a dealer?
Thanks,
Rick

The dealer will give you probably 60 - 70% of what the cars worth and then turn around and try to sell it for more than it is worth. Best thing to do is to put it online or on a busy street corner. Also no one actually uses KBB anymore... Banks and Dealerships use NADA because they say it is more accurate. But the online listing works well sometimes and other times not so well, i sold my old car on cars.com in less than a week but my friend never sold his online and his was on their for almost a month so its kind of a hit miss situation. GL with selling your car!
