Question about Infiniti warrenty

I am planning on purchasing a G35 coupe but am wondering how big a factor the manufacturer warranty is on the buying decision. Obviously, an 07 model has a longer warranty than an 06, but assuming the mileage, options, and condition are roughly the same, is it worth paying a premium (a couple of more thousand) for the 07 model due to its longer warrenty?

Most of the models in 06 I've seen have on average 24~26 months left in warranty and the 07's have around 36~40. Just want to have some G35 owners take on this. Thanks for your help!

Are you talking about the bumper-to-bumper warranty or the powertrain warranty?

Basic warranty...

Like my question is...between an 06 and an 07, does the warranty really matter that much? Hypothetically, lets assume it only has roughly 14K miles.

Yes, I would. How long do you plan on keeping the car?

Till I get my next car, probably in another 3 years.

In that case, I would definetly look for an 07 with a considerable amount of the basic warranty left on it. If your only going to have it for 3 years, you want to have as little of a financial risk into the car as possible.

I would get the one with the longest warranty. Have you seen some of the repair bills people on here pay for things that go wrong?
