2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe: Worth the purchase?

I found a used 03 coupe with 98,000 miles on her for $13995.00. I've heard mixed information on the G, that over time it does have a tendency to be problematic. Is this 98,001 mile coupe going to be a headache or a blessing, in your opinions?

Thanks in advance,

~J.

Should be OK, if it was taken care of....see if maintenance records are with it, that would tell you if it was taken care of. It sure looks like it was take care of on the outside.

This situation really depends on what you're planning on doing with the car:

#1. If you're looking for it to be a daily driver, go for it.
#2. If you're looking for a "shell" for a monster HP car, go for it.
#3. If you're looking for something without issues, invest another $7,000 and get something with half/third of this car's mileage.

Really boils down to what your intentions are with the car.

By the pictures, both interior/exterior, that car is in great condition for 98,000 miles. Just double check that the tranny is smooth, no leaks, proper service records (if available) and a clean carfax.

EDIT: For any instance if you get this car, be sure to consider the cost of the following:

- New tires
- New Alignment
- New brakes
- New rotors
- AT Tranny flush/refill
- +$1,000 in any other unforseen maintainence issues.

That's a really rare color.

G35s are reliable, I have 88k on mine and I don't have any issues.

Thanks...
Thanks for the info guys. I emailed the seller. If it's still available I'll take her for a spin and seal the deal. I'm getting rid of my 07 Dodge Ram Quad Cab Hemi. Can't hack the payment plus fuel prices so it'll be me daily driver for sure. Thanks again for the help. It's appreciated.

It seems like a good deal to me and it is in very good shape cosmetically. I'd get it checked out by someone just to make sure there aren't any mechanical issues.

What kind of wheels are those?

Wheels...
I'm not sure what brand the wheels are actually. I'm not all that crazy about them, but I don't hate them either. The blue paint is what caught my eye. Favorite color and all, so I can live with white wheels for a while, if necessary. Still searching Autotrader for others though. The truck goes away tonight, so I need to find something soon.

I'd say go for it man. I actually JUST test drove an 05 version of that same color yesterday. That color is indeed rare. Until your post I've only seem that blue twice before. Like the dude before said though, if the extended warranty isnt too expensive I would get it. I got a Nissan extended warranty on my 04 maxima, and their service is pretty good.
