2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe IP CPO 6MT (Aero, Navi, Premium) - $23,854

Hey guys,

Found a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe IP/Stone CPO at an Infiniti dealership and I wanted to see if you guys would move on this car.

Original Buy Date: 12/3/2006
Miles: 33,xxx
Tranny: 6MT
Title: Clean, no accidents, original lease vehicle
Extras: Aero kit, Premium Package, Navigation, CPO*

*CPO adds addition 2 years to the warranty making it 6 years/100k miles warranty. Plus it adds roadside assistance, yada yada....

Manager quoted me $22,854 - $25,044 OTD - originally but forgot to add the extra $1000 for certification. He says he made an honest mistake and now raised the bar to $23,854 - $26,1xx OTD - which makes me think if I should still move on it. I kind of have a mental block because he set the bar so low and then "upped" the price on me. I don't if it's just me being stubborn right now.

Another incentive is that he'll deliver it to me for free since the dealership is so far away from me (~120 miles away).

What do u guys think? Would you guys just jump on this ASAP? TIA for any help =)

Overpriced in my opinion.. Check KBB.com for pricing.. You should be able to buy that car for around $20k

With our current economy you should be paying under private party price even at dealerships..

Good luck

Thanks for the reply drive4fun =)

I figured it's overpriced but is it overpriced for a IP coupe?

Anyways, I guess I'll wait it out and if someone else snatches this away for that price, then he/she must be a fool to spend it at 23,850 then.

Any other opinions would be great!

I bought my '06 last August for a few thousand less then that. I think if you twist his arm a bit more, you can get him to lower the price more.

Honestly, in Cali, that's right on par. I was checking some of the auctions last week and even carmax dot com. Your 06's go for about 4-7k more than everwhere else. I saw a few 06 G's (no IP's) with 40k+ miles going in the mid-upper 20's. If you're not oppossed to driving, check closer to the center or even eastern part of America. For Cali tho, that ain't bad for an 06 IP w/ under 35k on the odo and loaded.

Heh, I would research and check online and visit other dealers and see what kind of prices you can get. The economy isn't getting better anytime soon. It's hard to find a used car with exactly what you want without time and research. If you're looking for a specific color you might have to pay a little extra.

Research research and negotiate.. heh good luck

yeah, i've previously owned a 2003 G so I know the G inside and out. But you're right, I'm looking specifically for the sexy IP. That's why I feel as though it might be a premium because it's such a hot color.

but i think the sentiments going around about how dealers should be selling near private party prices are right. dealerships aren't in the business to collect cars and if they don't price right in this economy, they're just gonna shutdown.

i spoke to the salesman and he won't budge. he seems pretty hard headed about it and is sticking to $23,8xx. This is at the Sacramento Infiniti dealership so I'm amazed he's not dropping prices.

I've recently been in the market for a G in northern california lately too. From what I have found and been noticing, I think that price is way too high. Also I have noticed that Sacramento Infiniti seriously over prices their cars. I was looking at an '05 6MT in lakeshore slate and they wanted $25k for it. I found similar ones down in SJ for only $20k. The biggest problem is finding your exact color and in 6MT. I did find this however, maybe they'd be more willing to work out a better deal with you.

i'm sure other places would work out a good deal.

this freakin' dealership won't budge on 23,900. i think they're smoking crack or something. is it me or is it just california?

he claims he bought the car for 23,100. I don't know how believable that sounds. ugh..

Why is he smoking crack because he won't budge on price. Walmart overprices you and calls it a sale and no one complains. LOLZ. Silly Americans. Maybe he ACTUALLY bought it for 23,100. Stranger things have happened. Just find another one.

If he did buy it for that much then it's their loss. A lot of people loss due to our current economy. If they won't budge on the price then just find another one unless you truly want that specific car and willing to overpay.

Good luck
