I was in the same dilemma 2 months ago. I went with an 05 and can't see my self going with the 04, theres soo many different details between the two, mainly the interior and the rev up motor.

Everyone also forgot about the 19 inch ray wheels as oppose to the 18s on the 04.

The interior has way nicer gauges, i hate the 04 ones they look cheap and out dated. mp3 cd player, more power seat functions, center console different, telescopic steering(whatever it's called), I know i'm missing more things in the interior, but thats just to name a few.

Quote: Plus's of 05: rev-up , half year bumper to bumper, just so you known 05 - 06 are more prone to OC issues...
Plus's of 04: brembos, lower mileage, save $$$, and still have powertrain warranty
What is OC issues?

OC = Oil Consumption issues. (05's 6MT had this with the REV motor)

I'd go with the 04.....Brembo's FTMFW!!!

loll no offense to you.

Brembos is the only thing that's nicer on the 04, other then that I'm sorry I like the 05 better.

My friend has an 04 and he noticed all the little things in my car different and so did I when I sat in his car. He didn't know they changed the interior in 05.

05, who cares about brembo's seriously.. If your not looking for long longevity, I guess go for the "brembos"

I say 04 better options and you can get the 19's for cheap now any way. The 05's have a better dash but as far as options the 04 wins to bad it's not Twilight Blue then you would have a rare car (04 was the only year for this color)

If you go with the 05, talk the price down some more... the car may be newer but it has more miles in a shorter amount of time, and less options.

I owned a 04 RX8 GT a few years back, I liked it. But it PALES in comparison with my current G. You'll be happy with the switch, I promise.
