I guess I'm fooling myself:

There are lots more, but you get the idea. I drove this beautiful 6MT with NAV and 51k miles - he said they'd take $20k:

scotts04MT6,

What's your argument here? You showed me 7 vehicles, with 6 of them either outside the detailed mile range (19K) or above your mentioned $21K price point. I'm confused? The only one I guess meets the description is the first vehicle however that is a bare bone coupe missing the sport package as found in the originally listed IP Coupe. Also, going private seller in comparison to a dealership is also of significance.

To be honest, although very much clean, with listed options it still is a bit over priced. If it had navigation and the 6MT that would be an instant buy at the 23K price point. Getting that car down to $21,500-$22,000 is where you want to be. The problem with negotiating on this vehicle is that it only has 19K on the clock. That will forever be the dealers foundation on his want to not move on the price. Also, remember, that IP coupes are heavily wanted.

Well now we're comparing applies-to-oranges. I mentioned getting 07s for $21k, which is absolutely possible with many examples given. An asking price of $22k certainly should have price mobility to $21k, and I didn't say how many miles the 07s for $21k may have on them. If we are going to compare fair value for a used 06' with 19k miles, then let's do that. I think Carsmithmotors has their vehicles overpriced. I've talked to them - they buy lease-returns from an auction in Hayward. Dealers get some of their used inventory there as well (I've confirmed this with a local Infiniti dealer).

I'm in agreement with you that this IP 06' is overpriced, and that ~$21k is more appropriate.

A quick search did find many 06s with ~19k miles - from dealers - for $21k or less:

2006 coupe, 20,000 miles, $18.9k: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

2006 coupe, 19,400 miles, $19.9k: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

2006 coupe, 19,500 miles, $20.9k: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

Regardless,

Locale has a lot to do with it as well. Realize that all those are in the south? Anyway, the only one with some relevance out of that bunch is the IP coupe at 19.5 on the clock reasonably priced at 20.9K. I believe that is the fair market price of such a vehicle.
