I think that's a little high. I wouldn't pay over $22K (before taxes). That's assuming the car comes with the 19-inch wheels. I would possibly consider $23K if fully loaded includes navigation.

I have a 06 G35, red on black, with premium package. I purchased it last week for $19K. It has 39K miles on it, but no 19-inch wheels, or navigation. I was gonna put new wheels/tires on the car anyway. I had been watching mine on the Internet for almost 2-months. They originally had it listed for $26K! I knew nobody was going to pay that much. It gradually went down to $22K, then $20K, then $19K when I picked it up.

Since the G37 came out, the price for G35s have gone down, but it's pretty competitive to get a good deal on them. I missed out on some seriously good deals, because I was beat to the dealership. If you want a good deal keep monitoring the Internet and when you see a good deal, jump on it!

For example, I was monitoring one G35, and noticed they marked the price down late Friday night. I called and made an appointment for 10:15AM Saturday morning. When I drove up Saturday morning, I watch the car I wanted drive off. I was so disappointed. The car dealer said this guy was there at the dealership before they opened!

This happened to me several times over the past couple of months. One time I even took off work and showed up at the dealership before they opened. I lost out on that one because some guy called and paid money to put a hold on the vehicle just minutes before they opened. I didn't even know you could do that!

My advise is if you want a good deal keep your eyes open...know exactly how much you are willing to pay...and when you see a deal pop up, don't lounge on getting in for that test drive/purchase.

I just want to add that I found many "no-name" dealerships that had G35s for sale really cheap...like $17K for an 06' fully loaded (with nav). It may seem stupid, but I insisted on getting mine certified from an Infiniti dealership. Yeah, maybe I paid a little more, but when you go to these "no-name" places, you never know what you're gonna get.

Good luck in your search.

Very high esp in this market...I bought my 07 AT, 15k with Nav/Sport/Aero/Prem for $24,700 in Nov...so to pay almost the same for an 06 with 38k on it is too high.

Unless this is the car you want as in color/option combo and you are willing to pay extra to get exaclty what you want.

Funny to see how many market experts we have here. Most of you have no idea what you're talking about.
NavEngineer had a good point, Infiniti's certification from the Infiniti dealer is always a smart move. However, it will cost you, not much though.

As a datapoint, I just paid $20k for an '06 Coupe 6MT with 40k miles(DG on Stone - which is a color combo I really like, so it was worth a bit more to me). It has every option except for navi - even rear active steer.

The car also had brand new Toyo T1R tires, which helped sweeten the deal a little for me since that's close to $1k in tires.

I don't consider myself a market expert, the OP asked a question and based on my recent buying experience I offered my opinion which he asked for..what's your problem with that?

Sorry, wasn’t trying to come off like a market expert. I was making an attempt to share my personal experience buying my G35. I’ve only been an owner for less than 2-weeks and I’ve been a member of this site for even less time. I admit that I am not a market expert, so I probably shouldn’t have given any recommendations. Maybe I’m looking at this all wrong, but nobody here is a market expert. When we respond to questions it’s with our own personal experiences, not because we hold some special title that authorizes us to give guidance. If you have some information that you think will help this person with their question, share it. If you disagree with the information that someone provides, share that also.

I initially went to KBB, but I found that most of the dealerships in my area were selling the G35s for less than KBB from the start. So how do you determine what a good deal is or not? Answering this question will vary from person to person.

My biggest concern was buying a used G35 that would constantly need costly repairs. I’ve been down that path with other used cars in the past, and I don’t want to deal with that crap again! You may feel different. You may be mechanically inclined and/or have deep pockets and/or have one heck of a set of tools. That’s not my situation, so for what it’s worth I decided that I would purchase a certified pre-owned G35 that has not been modified.

There is no shortage on G35s available for sale in Southern California. But from my personal experience, for whatever reason, it’s difficult to find certified G35 coupes in my price range. I had $25K to spend (including tax and registration), and I didn’t want a G35 older than ’05. For 3-months I was shopping at every Infiniti dealership from San Diego to Burbank, until I found the one I purchased in Montclair. It was certified…it was a lease return…it was still under factory warranty…it was about $4K under KBB…it was the exact color I wanted (red/black). The only thing I compromised on was the 19-inch wheels. It’s okay because I was going to upgrade the wheels sometime in the future anyway.

I visited some of the ‘mom and pop’ dealerships while I was shopping around and I just didn’t feel comfortable buying from them even though they had great prices…far below KBB. Maybe it’s just me, but the best way I can explain it is that the cars just felt dirty, or not well taken car of. I just didn’t feel comfortable buying from them. I will admit that I liked CarMax, but I thought they charged to much for their G35s.

I just want to share my thoughts and experiences. If anyone feels I’m giving out bogus information, or that I’m not authorized/qualified to share my experience…sorry.

I paid 25k for an 06 IP coupe fully loaded minus nav with 17k miles. I would say that is too high.

What's it worth and what you can negotiate for are two different things. How good are you?
