Prices are up locally (in my city), but I was able to grab an 05 w/Aero for under 16k up in Charlotte a few days ago.

An 05 with the premium package, but without the Aero, was listed for 21975 at the local dealer, and I was told they would take 21 even for it

Prices on the east coast seem a little lower than late last year, excepting of course Columbia.

Hence why I went out of town.

So when do you think prices will stabilize or drop a little? Late summer, early fall? I feel stupid paying 22k for an 06 g35 coupe 6mt with navigation when, 2 months ago I could have paid 19.5 or 20.

How many miles were on that 06 Coupe you were eyeing?

22k is reasonable depending on the milage. For a fully loaded 06 Coupe, milage can make it range anywhere from 25k to 17k (at different extremities).

You know what, you guys are right! I remember when I first bought my car I checked trade in value and it was like 13.5 or something, I just checked and it said 16.3! Hmmm that is weird.

there were 38k miles on the car. it was almost in perfect condition- had 1 minor scratch that could be touched up easily. Car was very clean and no accidents. The owner said she didnt want to sell it because she owed 26k on the car so she would have had to take a loan out with the bank and have payments on something she didn't own....she wants closer to 22-23 grand now and she decided this all after she agreed to my 20 grand offer and a test drive. I dont know if I should keep throwing all this time into finding that one perfect car (A black 2006 6mt G35 Coupe W/Nav) for the right price, or if I should just forget it until Late summer or early fall.
I wish I had sold my car in January as I could have bought the same car with fewer miles for 19k even.

G35 6MT
Just checked my KBB value -- it's up, too.

I'm thinking it's a combination of the economy and the time of year.

As far as buying a G now .. It's always a good idea to be patient and particular, but when you come across one that's exactly what you want, I'd suck it up and pay a grand or so extra. That's what happened with me. I waited three months for a G to pop up that was exactly what I wanted -- and while I paid a little more than I was hoping for, I'm still very glad I purchased.

Think of it this way. Is the grand you'll save worth all the time, aggravation with haggling, and traveling to see cars that you'll be doing over the coming weeks/months? That was the deciding factor for me. I'd rather spend the extra $$, and not have to drive myself crazy continuing to 'shop around' for God only knows how much longer.

^ Yeah I can see what you are saying. It might be worth it to me as well as I spend lots of time searching online for this car haha.

Wow, my value just keeps on rising.

For those who have checked before, check it again. I thought there was no way my value is at 27k Suggested Retail Pricing and 24K Private Party Value in this current market. But both KBB & Edmunds reaffirm this!

My car is a 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT with 30,000 Miles and Premium Package (with a few other options, but no nav).

Yeah I have noticed prices go up as well.. Defintley in the ohio, michigan, indiana area its hard enough to find a good deal and dealers are getting asking prices for them right away now that its warming up.
I have been watching the market on 05 and 06 g35s hoping it will go down after another year, but they went up over winter!! Now im having a hard time finding the one I want and starting to look at 04's which are still selling over 19k around here!

I bought a 2006 Ivory Pearl G35 Coupe with 6mt, navigation, premium, aero package, with 36k miles. Has zero dents, paint marks, swirls, and no accidents. It has a MREV2 spacer, ztube and K&N filter, and 35% tinted windows. I Paid $20250. I have been waiting for 3 weeks and can finally pick it up tomorrow at 1 pm. I will post pictures when I get back from my 4 hours (1-way) drive. Private party is the only way to go. I feel like I got a pretty good deal! Car is in South Carolina-I am in NC.

Good Luck to everyone!
