G prices up?

Why are the G35 prices up so much in the past few months? I recognize that prices should go up a little from winter to summer driving months, but not 2-4 grand increases? I am looking for a 2006 G35 Coupe with 6 speed manual and navigation and I cant find this car for less than 24 grand...Whats with the huge increase in prices?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I have, but bluebook prices are up almost 1,500 in the past few months. I am pretty much only looking at private party cars...but I'll take what I can get.

So is the issue just with supply and demand...should I wait until mid or late summer or what? I mean 2 months ago I could have bought the car I wanted for almost 2 grand cheaper.

i knew this was gonna happen thats why i bought my 06 g35 fully loaded with navigation 6mt 21k miles for 24295 (added 35 percent tint all around)

you got to do some searching on autotrader.com i found 84 g35 6mt for under 24,000, on there here is the link....if you really want it you can fly there and drive it home or even get it shipped like i did...i got mine shipped in a enclosed trailer from florida to tennessee for under 500 dollars.

I have been searching every day on autotrader and cars.com and craigslist to no avail. I just cant find the cars in the price range that I used to be able to find. Im thinking its just supply and demand working.

I also knew this was going to happen. Hence, the reason why I picked up my 06 G with Nav last month for 22.9K. I also suggest looking outside of your region as some deals may possibly be available elsewhere.

sometimes its hard to always find the 'Cheapest" price
just pay abit more and enjoy the car
i bought my 06G a few weeks ago for 22.2k
the prices are going up because summer is here
demand is up
i see more coupes (whatever car brand it may be) running on the roads in boston now.

the dealers that i met told me that coupe/sportcar prices go up in the summer while awd and truck prices go up in the winter (i am referring to used car prices )

Maybe it's just in your area? I'm on the East coast and it seems as though the G's have slightly decreased in value since the winter. I will be purchasing a 06-07' G35 sometime this summer. I highly doubt that KBB prices have gone up since the winter. Maybe you made a mistake on the mileage and options? Options alone can increase the cars value by $1-$3k.

Yeah...I also noticed the kbb value go way up. I was tuned into this because I was trying to sell my car at the time. Now that I sold it...this past weekend...I have become all tuned in. I am working on a 2006 G35 Coupe..Black with navigation, spoiler, 38k miles, 6mt with 1 owner, no accidents for 19,600--but the car was advertised for 26k and the owner needs to get rid of it asap so is willing to take when she can get for it. Other than this, I havent seen anything that fits the bill. The dealership told me that they were paying 16-18k at auction before...and now its 18-20k at auction for summer demand. This guy also told me that I should wait unitl late summer or fall to buy the car, when prices for these type of cars will drop. Oh and do you guys know about how it would work when buying a car that someone owns money on the car? For instance, she says she owes 26k on the car...so when I give her 19.6k, I am paying the bank? Then the bank will then work out a deal with the seller for her to pay off the remaining 6 grand?..can this be done if I buy the car..because at that point, there wouldnt be any capital (the car would then be mine) after I buy it...I'm a little confused.

This is why Ive decided to get an 07+ g35 sedan. There is no reason for me to pay 20k for an 05 coupe w/ 50k when i can get an 07 for a little more. At the begining of the year it was a great time to buy. I couldn't cause I jumped on another investment property. Oh well.

Hi, My theory on the price hike is all related to the economy. When it all went south several months ago the prices on most of the cars went down because people were hesitant to spend money at that time meanwhile dealers needed to sell their product so they lowered their prices to capture buyers. Now that the economy is little better (ha) the prices will go up and eventually will stabilize.

I was looking at a 2005 g35 coupe with all options except navi, the price 3 months ago was around 15 to 16k now Its 17 and up.
