06 G35 coupe AT

Hello all, I'm in the market for an 06 G35 coupe with all the upgrades- sport, aero and premium packages, with about 30,000 miles or less. I kind of want an AT since I drive in heavy traffic alot and like the idea of having the intelligent key, but I would not say no to a 6MT for the right price. I found an 06 laser red coupe AT with just under 30k miles with all options except navigation (which is fine, I don't need the navigation anyways.) The dealers posted asking price is $22,900. While this is not a bad price IMO, I was hoping to stay around $21k. I will be getting financed through my credit union, not the dealer. So, how much would you say is a reasonable offer? I don't want to lowball them so bad that they think I'm not serious about the car, because I am. Should I start at $21k? $21.5K? Also, how much should I expect to add the the price for taxes, dealer fees, etc.? If I could get out the door for $22k I think I would buy this car. Sorry for the long post and thanks!

You should offer 16k just because it's red.
Seriously though, if you want to walk out of there with everything for 22k then the price of the car is going to have to be under 20k. I'm in So Cal, and the tax rate here is just under 10%, so that's 2k alone. I am looking to buy an '06 6MT right now, and you can definitely find one for 20k... especially an AT. I don't have much experience negotiating for cars, but it sounds like you have a limit so I would just stick to that. Do you have a link to the listing? Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I have given up on getting an 06 now. I probably could, but I think I might be stretching myself too thin on it. I'm now looking at an 05 DG 6MT with 42k miles for $18.5k. I think this is the one, as long as all goes well!
