Hi, I’m new to the forum, I’m about to pick up a 04 G35 6mt, Black on black. It almost has 70,000 miles on it (no navi).

I negotiated the price down to $15,000- clean car fax (2 owners)

I test drove the car two times, the tranny feels nice and tight, the steering was pretty good.

I'm coming from a S2000 (selling my s2000 tomorrow at lunch) and an Evo (sold).

The paint is pretty good shape (2 rock chips very minor and 1 .5" small rust area near the sunroof.).

I will definitely replace all 4 tires when i get it. The motor looks clean.

I would like to get some of the 6MT member opinions before i take delivery of this vehicle.

As far as money goes, 15k is the most I can put out for a G right now (NADA is 17400 kkb is 16.3k (excel) to 15.3k (good).

It does have an AEM CAI...

I rationalize the 15,600 after tires because of high demand color setup and I need a car like right now...since I’m selling my S2000


I check out some on eBay that ended 03-04 blk/blk 6MT 50-70k miles they sold for 14-15.3k on top of that I would have to go pick it up or get it shipped ($500) plus the hassle with the liens on some of those.

This is my 8-9th car, I’m pretty picky on buying cars...

Locally I found 2 2006 same set up no Nav/no spoiler with 35k for 22k. I just can’t afford that.

I also test drove a 06' (blk/blk 45k 6MT) at the Dealership. They tried to hussle me really bad. They told me the price was 30k and they would take my S2000 and finance me 22k on the car (free s2k)...Anyways, the 06 that I test drove feels very similiar to this 04.
