2004 G35X w/ 92k Miles

I was offered the above car for 12k... the owner has taken very good care of the car, I drove it and it had great giddy up and handled well. I have a 45 mile commute one way and wanted to know how long I would be able to drive this car. It is all highway miles and the owner drove all highway. It has premium everything and just had new 19" wheels and new rims put on.

Sorry for such a specific question but I love the G35 but don't want to get anything too nice since I am going to drive it into the ground with my commute. I searched as many threads as I could but didn't see a thread that really discussed the 100k mile mark and what issues you may see.

Thanks!

90K highway miles is better than 60k city miles i think.

what options?

where do you live? do you really need the X?

$12k sounds ok if everything checks out fine.. but that car is probably worth ~$8k as a trade-in.

Thanks for the answers guys

I live in NJ, I believe the KBB was around 15 for the car... the guy is dating my fiances Aunt and bought the car from a Inifiniti exec who he is friends with. I don't think he is screwing me on price or anything. Just wanted to know what people thought of the car lasting another 100k miles or if I should pay the 4-5k more for a low mileage G. Its a hard balance because I have such a long commute.

I would prefer the X, I live in Jersey which isn't the worst weather conditions but I have had a RWD BMW the past 5 years and have gotten stuck more times than I can count with the snow, it drives me nuts and with my long commute I would like knowing I am safe is bad weather comes.
