I have 2004 g35x sedan with only 25k miles..

Around the small window on the rear window, the rubber that looks like it's clipped into the door is ripped so it can't get pushed in, I'm looking for any advice on how to make this look better, it's basically just sticking out on that corner of the window when the door is shut. It also makes it just a tad bit harder to close the door like fully.

I was thinking of taking a scissor and cutting the middle of it (almost looks stretched) and then glueing each side down.

Thanks for any advice.

Word pics for something like this are not too useful. Post a pic and folks can give you helpful suggestions rather than bad advice based on wrong assumptions.

Oy. No. #4 is the chrome trim piece. You are looking for the door weatherstrip. It's not in that picture.

You will want to download the factory service manual to help you identify the weatherstrip and see how to install it. Go here: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/inf...e-manuals.html

There are two choices for your year of sedan, 2004 and 2004.5. You'll have to figure out what you have, though for this I can't see where it would make any difference, but it might in the future on something else. Download all of the chapters for your year and put them in the same folder. Start with the "fwd.pdf" file...it is the table of contents and by clicking on the chapter titles, you can navigate to the file for that chapter.

Good luck.
