06 sedan 6MT lease ending -- to buy or not to buy
So the lease on my 06 Sedan 6MT is coming to an end in December and I'm trying to decide if I should buy it out or not. I'm fairly happy with the car as it serves most of my needs.
Details:
- 2006 DG Sedan 6MT
- Premium Package
- 26k miles
Buyout price: $19,800
My lease-end inspection is coming up soon and I'm guessing I'll be slapped with ~$500 in excess wear fees (not including the mod fees).
Thoughts? Advice?

I would keep it.. Sounds like you are happy with it and its a great car... SO hard to find them with less than 30K miles.. You could prob make some money on the deal, possibly.
Not to mention you would be spapped with the wear fees, mods fees and other fees.
I just bought my 06 Sedan 6MT and love the car but I have had it for less than 2 weeks. If you still love the car then keep it.. sounds like a sick ride with nice suspension upgrades.

That's not a bad price for your G35.
The best things about keeping your G35 are that:
1. you've been the sole owner, so you know how good (or bad) you've treated it.
2. you don't have to go through the agony of demodding. It hurts.
3. Plentiful relatively inexpensive mods. Plenum spacer? Motordyne exhaust?
Unless you've got something comparable or better waiting in the wings, why not keep her? I've had my 2006 sedan for two years and can't imagine going to another car in the foreseeable future. No BMW's or Lexuses for me. Now a GT-R though.....

Demodding would be a pain and it is nice knowing that I was the original owner, but I feel like I'd be overpaying a bit. And for some reason lease buyout interest rates are very high.
If I keep it, Bilstein PSS10s, Motordyne MREV2 + spacer, and 350z track wheels are in the upgrade queue.
