3. Driver side window - do a quick search on the forum, cheap and quick fix

All cars / makes / manufacturers have flaws - and if you are on the web, in a forum etc... you will find these issues all to easily, and at times it will make you think you have an issue that you don't (like you read about it, then go looking for it)

I am sure many will agree, that the G is one of those cars with a lower then average listing of issues.

Trading it in = huge loss. You are much better fixing it, for the low cost(s) associated with each fix.

Good luck.
+1 just fix it, while ur at it...check ur throttle body...so u are on the safe side..

Just get extended warranty and have the peace of mind. They also allow 12 months payment no interest. If you feel like you don't need the warranty, refund and get partial back. The thing is, for factory warranty it's only available until 60k miles. So hurry up or you are out of your luck!

I got mine for $1800+ and my windows are fixed without cost. And I got my rear view mirror replaced because it rattles like crazy

Welcome to the world of Nissan/Infiniti where shoddy build quality and a ton of little nagging problems is part of the ownership experience. That being said, I'm on my third G35 and I still love the car, problems and all, mainly because of how nice it looks.

If you're willing to overlook the fact that there is a laundry list of things on these cars that are constantly in danger of breaking, then keep the car. Otherwise I'd get rid of it before your lock actuators go out, your rear view mirror falls off randomly, and you find out you're burning 2qt's of oil every thousand miles while Infiniti refuses to honor their warranty.

Damn sorry to hear that bro. My G's perfect with no problems (knock on wood)....

37K miles...keep up with the maintenance, garage kept and try my best to be proactive mod and maintenance wise= a happy car.

Not saying you're not doing the same...just saying that this approach works best for most people as far as maintaining a problem free G35.

None of the issues I've had deal with improper maintenance, and to be honest I haven't had anything major happen except for a broken camshaft sensor one time. Rest were just locks and stuff. But coming from my two previous cars a Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, this car feels cheap and a lot of the engineering seems like an afterthought (like the carbon build up in the window motors that cause them to break repeatedly).

I still love it though, the beautiful lines and unique exhaust note make up for a lot. And to the cars credit, none the problems are anything too major that will leave you stranded on the road.
