I found a 2005 G35 coupe 6 speed 52k miles with navi at the private dealership and they are asking $20k. What would be the best offer that i should give them? i'm thinking $15 but it might be too low.

I didn't go see the car yet but i checked the carfax and it has 2 owners perviously...

Do you guys think owner 2 is a little bit fishy? Bought the car for 5 days (5/14/09 - 5/19/09) and listed online for sale? and the car wasn't sold until at the auto auction recently 4/12/2010 ? Why does it take almost a year for the car to sell and the mileage jump up 10k.

Is it normal?

What do you guys think?

$20k is too high for an '05.. you could easily get one for around 16

For 20k; I would be looking at 06's. That is too high for an 05. I know autotrader does a 'trade-in value' for one's ride and mine (fully loaded 05 6mt with 53k) was coming up to 16k as the high; and that was with nothing wrong with it.

I just think you can get a better deal if you wait.
