Question Salvage title or clean title..

I have a hard time decideding on what g35 i want as 50% of them seem to have a salvage title, i seen few still damaged need fixing up still to be drive able.. would it be better to buy one that has been damaged need to be fixed up and do it your way.. or buy one clean title and start from there..

i'm new to the site so if there is a thread on this already please post it up.

THanks Seth

Seth buy one with a clean title. Trust me its not worth buying one with a rebuilt/salvaged title. It helps in the long run when it comes to trade in or sell. Most of the time when you buy a salvaged car it had frame damaged causing trouble when modding or putting factory parts back on. So keep looking and find a clean title. Thats the best way. GL with everything. Shoot me a pm if you need help with anything.

yes i have i have found couple but the G had 90/100 ish miles on it and im not try to buy a car that will need work on it in a year or so latter.. how long does a g last if well taken care of..?

couple months back i came across a g35 that did not run org owner he was selling it for 3500 man i jumped all over it but it was sold before i ever got a chance, i love to find another like that as a slow fixer up with a clean title as i want a ken style body kit and supercharger.ect.. but we all have dreams..

p.s i've read and heard to stay away from 03/04 G's as trannys are no good is that true? or just lack of care from owners..

As long as the car is in great and working condition, does it matter if its salvage or not if you are not selling/trading the car in the future?

well a car will last you however long you take car of it. Ive seen Gs with well over 100k and still running strong. Some even had SC/turbo on them. So its all up to the owner for an answer like that. If you maintain your car well it will run well. My car had 69k when i bought it in Oct 2009. Before my motor swap i had 85k on it and i ran flawless. Wow 3500? that was a steal. Sucks you werent able to get it. Try to find one under 10k. Its hard to find Gs at that price but im sure they are out there. Ive heard that the 03/04 had some tranny issues but depends on the owner as well. If your going AT then stick with 05+ and 03/04+ MT are fine. A buddy of mine has a 04 MT and never had an issue. And he beats that car up!!!! lol

Once you got hit by the mod bug, you might want to replace the bumper, headlights and wheels etc. So, getting a cheaper salvage might save you some $$$. Again, as long as the car is in great and working condition (i.e. no chassis/engine/transmission issues)

Depends on multiple things. How well it runs, interior or exterior damage, if it needs new paint job. Just depends but they should be no more than 10k. Turbo toys down here in Tampa, FL he buys totaled cars and rebuilds and sells them for 15k+. Way to much IMO.
