What did you pay? Lease is up - looking at options: UPDATED WITH MY RESULTS!!

Thanks in advance to anyone that posts here.

My lease is up in a few payments and I'll need new tires, brakes, etc. so I'm thinking I might be able to work a deal to have the dealer pay my last 2 lease payments, avoid the costs of the tires, etc. and end up with a similar or lower payment.

I'm not talking about rolling the lease payments into the new lease - I would NEVER do that. I basically want them to buy my car from me and apply any equity (or breakeven) to the new lease. I'm guessing we'll be about even.

Anyway - I haven't been researching a whole lot yet but I was wondering if anyone would share their pricing experiences.

When I lease, I treat the sale price as if I'm buying the car. That's the first thing I negotiate. I would have Infiniti loyalty, etc. but that is direct $ coming from Infiniti so it should NOT come into play when negotiating with the dealer. As a matter of fact, I often have them use that to pay for the upfront TTT etc. instead of cap cost reduction which they always want to do because they can bury that extra $1g of profit in the deal.

So what did you get off of MSRP? I'm looking for a bit of a rare bird - the tech package is not easily found (had the same problem on my previous M and current G so I'm used to it).

Anyone get below invoice?

Thanks again!!

Jay

Wow - 40 views and no one willing to share? (or maybe no one has bought one recently?).

Anyone? Buehler?

Thanks!

Ok, so since no one responded to my posts above I figured I might be able to help someone out.

Now, I realize that this is a pretty good deal that I received and I'm VERY happy with it but I don't know if this is something that is that common or not.

I was able to get a 2010 G37xS TECH/Sport/Prem/Nav/mudflaps and the very expensive first aid kit with a piece of carpeting and a crappy net (I hate that we have to pay for those but whatever. . . ).

So the MSRP was $44,080 and I got the car for $300 under invoice. Combined with my $1,000 lease loyalty cap cost reduction my payment came in at about $419 (w/o tax) and $456 with tax. (I can never tell whether some posts include tax or not so I'm separating them out to make it easier to understand).

Lease is 12,000 mi for 39 months. The low lease money factor for June helped me save about $35 or so from May's numbers. If you were looking last month and you are close you should consider looking again in June. The money factor is a lot less. The rate ends up being a bit more than 1% lower - I think the MF was .00189 in May and .00142 in June. Residual 61% for the 39 months. Don't quote me on the numbers but that's pretty close.

So, here is why I feel I got a great deal:

$300 under invoice - happy with that!

My lease is up in August. I will need to replace the tires, fix a dent and scrape and 2 curb rashes on the wheels before turn-in. That's quite a bit of money and time and hassle to deal with.

I also have 2 lease payments totaling about $1000 left on my lease.

I worked up the deal and then asked if they could have Infiniti forgive the lease payments. They weren't sure so they looked at potential trade (my car would trade for about $25,500 - multiple searches and dealers confirmed). My payoff to buy out the car is over $29,000! They actually took my car IN TRADE. No lease turn-in worries. No repairs. So I saved the $1000 in lease payments (NOT rolled into the new deal - would NEVER do that!) and the cost of the repairs. Even with the $500 lease credit for wear and tear if I re-lease another Infiniti, the savings made me happy!

Oh, and the dealer does NOT have the car on his lot! All of this is for a car they have to trade for with another dealer. So you know they have costs associated with that.

So I lowered my payment by about $43/month, got a better equipped G, got rid of my lease without the final payments and repair costs and . . .

it was a GREAT experience with the dealer.

They were super nice throughout the process!

So I don't know if you would consider this an amazing deal but I certainly do - and that's all that is important!

I think they took the trade on the 'hopes' that they will break even and not have to pay the $1000 in lease payments - which I think is a good business decision. I only have about 15,000 miles on my current G and they are listing at retail for about $32,500 so they have the potential to break even if someone beats them up for a better deal. Again, I think that is a good decision on their part but it certainly helped me out!

They also did NOT want me to buy the car at another nearby dealership. Nor did I want to buy there. I had a bad experience with the owner and don't ever want to give my money to him if I can help it. I always give them a chance to earn my business back but they've got an uphill battle to do that based on that experience (unforgotten nearly 5 years later!!).

Thoughts?

Hope this helps someone out - it sounds like Infiniti is doing a full court press to move as many G's as possible for June.

2010 g37 sedan 6 speed mt with 4000 factory incentive

Hey new to the forum, wondering if 4000 off msrp on a g37 which is 39899 - 4000 = 35899 (pretty much at invoice) is a good deal?

Thanks..
