Opinion: Very Low Mileage 2004 G35 Sedan
Opinion: Very Low Mileage 2004 G35 Sedan
Looking to possibly trade in the wife's 2004 Honda Accord EX coupe this weekend at a local dealership that has a 2004 G35 RWD Sedan with premium package and only 37K miles on it. Was hoping to get some feedback from G owners...
The dealer has it listed for $17,995. Realistically, I think we can get $8,000 for my wife's trade in, but I really don't know what a fair asking price is on such a low mileage, 6 year old, G35. Edmund's TMV is right at $16,000 ($1,300 of that total cost is inflated for the low mileage). Would it be unreasonable to initially offer $15,500 ($2,500 below their list price)?
Assuming we like the car and the Carfax checks out okay, Do you think this is a good buy at $16K if the dealer accepts this offer? We are looking to keep this car for a good 7+ years/100K miles so we like the fact that the miles are so low to begin with.
One other question I had is that this 04 model seems to have a different front bumper and a rear skirt that I've only seen on a few other 2004 G35 sedan's. Was this a another add-on/special package? I have attached a few pictures of the vehicle.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

It does look like a Nismo kit, the car looks clean, but I'd def check the history reports first and then find out how much that 100k warranty will run you, bc that price seems to be on the high end for the car, no navi; right? Def hit them at $15,500 and make sure you get what you want for your trade.
Hey man,
This is just my opinion but i believe overall it is very highely priced. I'm not sure which area your in but i just did a quick nation wide search to look @ lower milage sedan...
If you need me to post the links to these ads i can do so ... it's all from autotrader so just let me know and ill post up.
Here's what i found (all original 1st owners according to ads)
(most of them said under warranty and @ dealers- 05 sedan infiniti dealer)
- 06 g35 sedan 33,000miles $13,900 - Long island city, New York
- 06 g35 sedan 31,000miles $15,900 - Rosewell, GA
- 06 g35 sedan 38,000miles $15,900 - Lake elsinnore, CA
- 05 g35 sedan 42,000miles $14,900 - Littleon , CO
- 04 g35 sedan 37,000miles $14,900 - Lilburn, GA
- 07 g35X sedan 46,000miles $17,500 - Long island city, NY (KG suzuki)
- 07 g35 sedan sport 38,000 miles $18,800 - Norcross, GA
- 07 g35 sedan 48,000miles $17,900 - Hialeah , FL
I looked to see first owner, warranty and clean carfax otherwise the ones that hold salvage / rebuilt titles are going for 13k to 15k for 07 / 08 sedans.. just to give you an example.
If you need any of those phone #'s or whatever pm.

its a good price, if the car checks out, that aero kit was almost 2gs extra.
It is what the car is wortht o you, it will be a long time untill you find another one like that.
I dont really go by kbb or edmunds etc, if the car is clean and looks like be headache free i will pay a premium,
there are too many g's that kids are buying and abusing right now.

a few comments for you:
this car does indeed have a dealer-installed Aero package, commonly referred to as Nismo package. how do i know it's dealer-installed? - there is a brake light on the rear deck; on cars with factory-installed Aero package, the brake light on the rear deck is not installed.
the Aero package is full - front facia, rear valance, side sills, and spoiler.
the car looks very clean outside. the price does seem a bit high, despite low mileage.
