Which G35; 04 or 06 for similar prices

what up guys... been looking into getting a G35 so I don't have to drive my other vehicle since it guzzles gas (SC'd 4Runner V8). Anyways, I've narrowed it down to two and I don't know which one to go with...

1st: 04' coupe 6MT, 2 owners, 60k miles, engine replaced under TSB at 52k (verified at the dealer) clean inside and out... powertrain warrantey pushed out until 2012.

2nd: 06' coupe 6MT, 52 miles, 2 owners, 52k miles, says he has not had engine OC problem, warranty it just about up. clean inside and out too.

Both are just about the same price... which one would you go with? I'm trying to find out the "in service" date so I can push out the warranty by 3 years. But if I can't then both of them are 'technically out of warranty.

So, I'm would normally go with the 06', but with the 04 with a new motor then I'm sort of leaning towards the 04'.

I know that the post is sort of vague, but I've included the important facts that is important to me. Basically same color, same interior, different years, one with a newer motor, on that is a newer year.

Thanks for your guys' input

interior is nicer on the 05-06 G`s. i would go with the 06

cuz sooner or later, you would want to get the hid projectors on your car if you dont have the 05 or 06 and then you will also have to swap the tail lights for the new version. plus the dashboard and clock and all the buttons on the console look a lot better on the 06

hope you find the right one for you

and welcome to the forums!

Yea I see what you are saying about the newer one too, but to be honest this board has me thinking that everyother G out there consumes oil! Obviusly that is not the truth, but paranoia has set in.

Normally the newer one would be the obvious choice but with a new motor replaced by the dealership that is making me lean towards the older car (which also has the aero kit and all).

Is it expected to see every vq engine consume a certain amount of oil?
