New Member look for a G

Hey there

I just registered and i am looking for a G35 coupe in the spring.

I was just wondering what is a good year to buy and what to look out for when buying one?
I heard that the 03-04 had some issues and the 05-06 have a oil consumption issue.

How are the 07-08`s?
Im looking for a MT 6

Thanx

Oil consumption. If you get, just keep an eye on the oil at all times.

Get the carfax...call any listed servicing dealer (hopefully there is one or a couple) and ask about service history. Have them check to see if it has been checked for oil consumption and if so, repaired or not.

That's if you end up with a 05-07 6MT because it doesn't affect AT...and some fluky cases 03-04.

Why stay away from those years? I've had an 04 for two years and the only problem Ive had is the passenger side window.

That's what I mean. I don't even want to buy one now if there is a very common issue with oil consumption. What if the person before me never checked oil in between oil changes and ran it low and did damage? Or should I not worry about it as if the oil light came on they would take it to the dealer? What was the factory warranty length for these cars?

It sounds like somebody needs to stack up some real cash and buy a New one!
Us po boys will have to take or chances, and turn or wrenches.

05+ has better interior
06+ has better lights
Look around for sport package, you will get different sideskirts and front bumper.

the 05 mt is known for oil consumption, not sure why others are spreading false info..buy an 04 and avoid the problem since 06+ seems to be out of the price range?.good luck with your search, do your homework..i went with 04 for a reason and never had a problem. for sale if interested
