Should I get it?

I have been looking at this 2003 g35 sedan for a couple months now. The dealer wants 4500 for it and it has 145,000 miles on it. Do you guys think this is a good deal? i will have about 3K left over for repairs and stuff, what can I expect to repair on it because I see a lot of people with over 200k on these vq's. Thanks guys!

Holy crap this is crazy. It has really come to this.

Dude, if you only have $7500 to spend on a vehicle, I would not be buying a 145k mile G35.

Hate to say it but I agree. I would not take a chance on a 145K anything with an unknown service history.

Most of the guys here putting 150-200K miles on their car owned them since they had 25-50K miles or so and have maintained them well.

I think that's a pretty good deal. Common issues to check would be bushings and bearings in the front end. If they need to be replaced I'm sure you could talk them down to $4k and replace them for around $200 for all of them. Try to get service records if you can and make sure to have the dealer show you the carfax on it. If everything checks out I'd say go for it. Mine has 150000 miles on it and its been through hell and I haven't had a single issue in the 2 years I've owned it besides the starter going out and replacing the bushings I just mentioned

I agree with this guy. Many people will hate on buying an older more miles g35 on here but I don't agree. I looked for awhile and never found one that cheap. I am more worried about it coming from a dealer. I like to work with the seller of the car you can get a better (more real) feel for what the car has been through and don't pay all the fees.

I paid $6,500 and it's an 03 134K on it. That way 1-1/2 years ago and at 150someK and everything has been great.

Here is how i have bought cars in the past though:
1995 Altima $2,300 150K totaled it at 210K and insurance gave me $1,800
1998 Prulude $4,600 175K sold it at 195K for $3,600
1999 Corolla $2,200 140K sold it at 200K for $2,100

I am more about getting a good car for a good price and some will not like that when dealing with a g35 but why not be able to own a nice car when your bouget is in the 6-7k I don't see anything wrong with that as long as the car is built well and you look into all of it's common problems.
