04 G35 good price?

Hello All,

I am considering a 04 G35 to buy and I am not sure I am making a right decision. The car is listed for $10,550 and it has got 89500 miles. It has got some scratch on front bumper and and 6" crack on rear bumper. The color is light silver with tan leather inside. Passenger seat has one very small color spot but it's really hard to see. Besides this the car looks and drives fine. I am a basic mechanic who can work on suspensions, spark plugs, oil stuff, and wheels/bearing/breaks stuff. However I do not know more about detail engine work or transmission work. Am I making a good move and G35 is a reliable car? I am planing on to use this car until car die. Am I paying too much for this car? If yes then what would be the reasonable price to buy for? Also what are the common issues I will have going forward? The car was a lease and then it had two owners I believe. Thank you for any of your help.

You could probably haggle to 9500 maybe? And there are no common mechanical issues with the 04.

Agreed, if it's been well-maintained, you will be able to drive it a very long time. Get the maintenance records if you can,

There aren't service record except for registration records on car fax. I test drove this morning and car is very clean inside. Everything works. Has duel temperature control, heated seats, etc etc. Price can be as low as $10,000 as long as I buy by tomorrow. No chance getting down to $9000 or $9500. Should I make a move? I am not sure but the steering wheel felt very stiff. Is this the way this car has stiff steering wheel from factory or I am dealing with steering wheel issue?

The only reason I asked for price is because I can wait if this is not a better priced car. I worked on toyota day in day out at dealer. I never worked with or have any experience with G35. Thanks for all replies.

Steering is a bit stiffer than a lot of other cars. If someone's pressuring you to buy tomorrow, you are dealing with the wrong person. Walk away.

There is no pressure. The price is $10k if I buy tomorrow. If not then price goes back to original asking price.

Yeah I already knew that. I am thinking of let this go and see if they comes back again. if not, I will have to look for another G35 and forget about this one.

Dont jump at a deal they are pressuring you into
Look around more I paid 10 for mine with 50,000 miles no cosmetic or mechanic problems AT ALL
Just be patient it takes a long time to find a car

That's what I am thinking.

Wait for another G35 with better price or put the money towards down payment and get an 2013 Altima. But thn again I hate car payments and dont want any. I know G35 & Altima is no match but out of these 2 cars are the one I wanted to buy one.
