My dad recently just gifted me his 07 VW New Beetle, and I have I buyer for 9k so I'm shopping for a G35. I'm looking at an 05 G w/ MT and clean title for only $13,988. Only thing I'm concerned about is the mileage which is at 93k. Here's the link to the car below, I need some advice whether the car is worth it? Or will I be overwhelmed with maintenance issues when I get off the lot?

That's to many miles and it might have oil consumption bc it's an 05 6mt rev up engine. I would be careful
To update from my last post, I've found another G. This one is an Ivory 05 and has only 49,xxx miles. I'm going tomorrow to check it out at the dealership and hopefully purchase. Anything to be wary of? Or any questions need to be asked? I appreciate it.

Check out the Carfax report. The dealership has one posted for free on their website. Looks like a 3-owner car with no issues. Possibly a second car and garaged for much of the year as owners two and three drove it very little. For the mileage, there shouldn't be many maintenance issues to worry about.
I would call some of the service centers listed on the Carfax and see if the brakes were done...
Only issue is it seems to be overpriced by $2,000. Check www.nadaguides.com. It's a rare find, but I would be prepared to walk if they don't come down significantly.

Test drove the car yesterday and it rides great! And I managed to negotiate a reasonable price!.. I'm just waiting for the reclining motor in the driver's seat to be replaced which will take about 4 days for the dealership to get the part in and the G will be ready for pickup!

or what ppl pay for lower mileage ones too i guess..i see from ur updated post op ur looking to spend like 20k on a 05 with like 50k miles..just seems crazy to me
I talked him down a marginal amount on the car, the final price was well below 20k. The low mileage was a plus for me and I've always wanted a G so I'm satisfied!

Certain cars are rare in some areas and as a result, dealers can sometimes get away with charging more than a forecasted market value. If the buyer and seller are both happy though, sounds like a good transaction to me.
