Exclamation Getting a G35 Help!

Hey G drivers, I need help. I REALLY like the G35 and i got a decent deal on one. I'm only 17 and might get the G35 for a graduation present. I live in Minnesota and the snow can get bad sometimes. The G35 is 2005, sports coupe, 84K miles and 13 grand. My question is am i able to maintain a G35? Gas is free for me, but i have gone around and heard a lot of stories of G's breaking parts and will keep breaking which will cost a lot of money. I also heard the tires wear very fast, is it because of driving it like a maniac or can regular driving just solve this problem or no? I heard the brakes are easily worn out too? Also if i buy winter tires will it be ok for the winter, not saying like the really bad ones, but maybe like 3-5 inch snow.

Thanks, please give me some good advice, I really like the car and will try to maintain it well. Give me your opinion whether i can handle the car or it will just leave me in dept and stress in the long run, thanks!!!

If I was your age and lived in the frozen north I'd be looking for a Toyota 4X4 extra cab truck. They don't cost a lot and parts aren't expensive. This way it wouldn't matter how much it snowed, it most cases you'd get where your going.

You should get a WRX it would be perfect for the winter. I just picked one up and love it! My G35c seen snow once and couldn't even get out of the Driveway, so now my G35 stays locked up for the winter.

Tires do wear out because of Infiniti's agressive suspension. The 03-04 Brembos are the ones that tend to wear out faster. As Gary said I wouldn't recommend a G35 for your age and location.

Take a look around town in the winter, how many G's or Z's do you see? Probably none, it's not good choice if it's your only car. Besides, 13k for a 9 year old car with 84,000 miles isn't a great deal.

Why such a big price drop? +1 for the 4X4.

That was the original price, but I'm sure it may be around 9K or so, but still. I like the car and wish i could buy one. I took your opinions and sorta mashed it up and am finding a WRX atm. I still will have a large affection towards G35's though and my mind still shifts, but thanks guys!
