Possibly becoming a member to the g35 fam! need help
Okay i have a z now and im selling it and i was going to get another z, but then i come across this g35, is has 170k on the chassis and only 50k on the motor, the guy has all the paperwork done for the motor which was over 8k, ssr vienna wheels k sport coils 3 inch downpipes all the way to the back with no cats and leads out to a obx b10 exghaust, fly wheel, new clutch, plenum spacer, fitment is perfect, black with leather and sunroof stick shift, and only has one MINOR ding on the front left that you cant notice, However, the back bumper is missing and it has a grey trunk, how much would it cost to get a new bumper, painted and get the trunk painted, the guy told me $200 for the bumper, id get stock (dont know if hes lying or not) plus painted for $800 but i dont want crappy paint job i want as near to the car as possible, plus i would need the trunk painted and i would be good to go! it has a clean title and everything, and never any trouble with the new motor, he has a book of everything, hes only asking 7k, i will definately get the car but how much will paint + the new bumper be and has anyone ever painted something on their body with that many miles? NEED HELP SOON CAUSE HES HOLDING THE CAR THANKS
You didn't mention what year, or coupe/sedan.
But i wouldn't pay $7K for that. Sounds like it's someone's project they want to get rid of. The miles are high and I'm going to guess it's a 2003-2004 coupe?
So you will spend $7K, dump another $1-2K into it.

03 black coupe, but someone on my350z told me it was good that i could find a used black bumper for a decent price then get the trunk painted or just get a new bumper and paint the bumper + trunk and it would cost me $1500? and the motor only has 50k miles?
Are you sure the entire motor is brand new? Or has it been rebuilt with various different parts.
Need to be careful here as a lot of sellers advertise a rebuilt engine as being new, when it's really rebuilt.
Guy claims he has paperwork, you need to carefully read what the paperwork states. Is it a rebuilt original engine, a purchased remanufactured long/short block, or an entirely new engine?
Either way, chassis mileage trumps engine mileage as the engine is considered a replaceable component like transmission, shocks, rear axle, etc. 170K on the body is not something to overlook.
I just don't want you you buy someone else's headache because it has some cool parts on it.

The paperwork states that an entirely new motor was put into the car, around 10k invested, but im not looking to track the car or anything or even run it hard at that, just looking for a clean car to drive most places
