Questions about Used Infiniti g35

Hello all,

I am turning 18 in a couple of weeks and I have finally saved enough money to afford the car I have always dreamed of driving. Though my budget is around 13-16k i was wondering what a decent mileage for this car would be. My parents have promised to pay for Gas but i have to pay for insurance and have the budget to do but I am just wondering what it would look like after I get an infiniti. I also want to understand the maintenance (if it is expensive) so I know what I am getting myself in to before I make a final decision... At what mileage will the vehicle start experiencing problems?... Is it a reliable car?... and what year release do you guys prefer the most.

I would love to know some opinions from experienced drivers of this car.

Much appreciation

I assume you want a coupe right? Have you gotten insurance quotes yet? That may be the deciding factory alone. Expect anywhere from $2500-3000 or higher depending on your location and other factors.

Many guys have 100+K miles with no issues. The cars aren't difficult, nor expensive to maintain. They do have their known quirks, so def research a bit into common problems and such.

Gas is your biggest cost. I probably spend almost $400+ a month on gas to drive around.

Routine maintainece isn't bad. Oil changes are the big one. I do a trans flush onces a year ($50 DIY), differential flush every 50K ($40 DIY), coolant ($20) brakes aren't bad DIY either $250 per axle using good quality parts. Notice i am saying DIY a lot. If you can do the routine maintainence, then it won't be fairly expensive to own

13-16K is a good budget. Look at the newest car with the least amount of miles you can afford.
