I bought 2004 , G35, sedan. a month ago. 145000 miles. no problems with the car, great condition. paid 4500$ to private seller. great car, really like it.
Also - you say buy camry, or honda, - are you aware how much they cost now? they cost the same 5000$ for some shitty 1998 civic with 150000 miles on it. The prices are crazy ! and the camrys are even more expensive.. its almost impossible to buy good car now for 5000$, unless it 1999 or older, or has 200000 miles on it...

I paid $5k for mine...but it's been flooded in Katrina, was turbo'd they blew the engine and swapped in another I have no idea how many miles are actually on it (not a documented swap of course) it has body damage on the rear quarter, scratches on the windshield, fenders bent from the hood flying up (presumably while driving might explain the windshield scratches too) a dent on the roof (I can't even come up with an explanation for that) paint was peeling off the front bumper, corner markers were spray painted black, undercarriage is mangled from being slammed I'm guessing, exhaust was completely missing from the mid pipe back, radio didn't work, passenger seat doesn't move, seats are ripped, holes drilled in the a pillar from where there used to be gauges, I could go on...but the point is I love my G despite all of that and the fact I get 11 mpg

Yep and I haven't had any issues in the 2 years that I've owned it which goes to show that the g35 is a very well built car and I'd recommend it to anyone. $5k was a good price I mean when I bought it you couldn't really find one for less than $8-9k so that's $3k cheaper than average and there's no evidence of any flood damage, no mechanical issues, no issues at all really in 2 years I've replaced the radio, alternator, radiator, and some front end bushings which I'm sure most of us have replaced those things. Still a great car

Not really.

If I had to replace all that within 2 years of buying a car....I'd be trying to dump it.

All that? That's like a grand total of $500 including my double din and metra kit lol if you haven't replaced that stuff on a 10 year old car you're extremely lucky lol
