5K for a GOOD g35 coupe ?
5K for a GOOD g35 coupe ?
Hi new to the forum but but just needing advice or anyones experiences on g35's. i've been trying to find a g35 coupe prob 03 and my budget is 5k. Out of the ones I've seen listed at or around this price they all seem to have problems ( check engine light minor bumps, electrical issues, etc.) I've seen plenty of sedans available @ this price but no 2 door coupes. So my question is does anyone have any experience of actually getting one for no more than 5k that was in good condition clean and without and considerable issues. I'm expecting the mileage to probably be a little high but other than that was wondering if anyone got one for this price and it ran well for them for a long time. Thanks for the help !
also i'm paying in cash so any stories of negotiating experiences or haggling that you guys have had any success with would be greatly appreciated. If you dont think its possible to pull off feel free to let me know also.
I will be blunt, if you only have 5k you shouldn't be buying a G35. Buy something more reliable and reasonable. No G35 in that range is going to be worth owning (beat to hell, run down, tore up).
Plus when you buy a very high mileage beat up car, you are going to be looking at a bunch of repairs. If your budget is 5k, odds are you wont have the funds to repair the car. Tires alone will set you back 1k.
Best bet is to buy something reliable like a Camry.

lol hard times @ blue dreams and thanks @WhosUrBuddiee i mean i'm new to this dont know alot about the cost to maintan a G as opposed to say a maxima or altima. My last car was a 97 maxima and i figured being that it was a nissan the G series would be similar in terms of maintnance costs.

You won't find a coupe for 5k that doesn't have issues whether it be 200k miles, body damage, mechanical or electrical issues. Honestly it's hard to find a sedan for 5k that doesn't have some sort of issue or high mileage
@ KrazySouthG35 u think if i find a sedan in my range with to considerable issues its worth pulling the trigger on? Or just goin for a lower end car thats cheaper to maintain. If maintenance is alot more expenisive then say a camry or civic then i may just go with one of those in that price range.
I know. It's sad especially considering I paid ~ $25K and change for my car.

Maintainence isn't that crazy, but with bottom price range cars, you need to expect not a whole lot was done.
Well-maintained cars tend to sell higher...for obvious reasons
If $5K is your ceiling for your budget, you really need to consider what sort of G35 coupe it will buy you and decide if that's the sort of car you'll truely enjoy owning once the cool, new factor wears off. You might be forced to look at different makes.
I think I cried slightly when I looked at trading in my '06 for a 2011 G37x and saw what they wanted to give me for trade-in for it.
