06 G35 coupe, 6 Speed, problems to look for?

Hey all, new to the boards and thought this would be a good resource to find out from current G owners about potential problems to look for when shopping for used G35 coupes. I'm looking in the 15k range on the high end, so most of the cars (G's or not) I've been looking at are in the 70-105k range.

I have two I'm looking at potentially, just test drove one today- an 06 coupe silver/black, 6 speed manual, with 103k on it. Drove really well, needless to say I loved it, but when I started the car I noticed it had a little bit of a chirping noise from a belt or pulley under the hood. My '97 I30 has a similar noise, but it's much more pronounced- since I'm trading the car off and it has such high mileage I've decided to skip the fix on mine- but on the G35 I was concerned it might be a symptom of a bigger problem or a potential lack of care by the previous owner. The Carfax checks out with a clean title, etc. and I'm, of course, going to tell the dealer I want to take it to a mechanic before I buy it, but any insight as to what the chirping probably is?

Also, if anyone has any insight as far as potential problems I should look out for on G's in that age/mileage range please do tell. Good to be on here and thanks in advance for any tips!

15K should get you something with 50K-70k on the odometer. Why i say that is because I got mine at 30K for 16, given it was private sale. At that time I was shopping dealers also which had cars within 25-35K miles for about 17k. I think with more shopping around and maybe a little more time a better deal can be found.

As for problems to look for, the belt issue should only be minor. Can be easily replaced or tightened. The really major thing to worry about is the oil consumption issue & the only way to find out is to drive the car and measure oil level after a while.

Thanks! I will definitely keep that in consideration. I found an 06 with 61k on the clock in TN, but the dealer I've been talking to about it wants $1200 to transfer it here (800-900 for the transfer and a 399 dealer admin fee), so it's a no go as it's already at the top end of my price range and spending that kind of money to transfer a car I don't know I want to buy yet seems kind of bass ackwards. I'm still thinking about having the 103k I test drove the other day checked out by my mechanic, but all things considered, I'm starting to lean towards waiting for something better to pop up since the interior was in "good" condition vs. "great" and it has so many miles on it already. The price/monthly payments would be better up front, but having owned an I30 for 6 years I already know how costly the repairs can add up to if you start running into problems.
