Should i buy a G35 Coupe or a Genesis Coupe?

I owned 2 G35s and 1 G37. My wife's Hyundai is nicer than all of them and more reliable.

Many owners here seem to forget times change. The G35 might have have been considered entry-level luxury 10 years ago, but really now it cant even compare to a Dodge Dart or a Civic. If your car came stock with a tape deck and a tampon, it is not luxury. I dont even consider my old G37 as luxury. It was pretty, but severly lacking in features.

I never understood why people make these threads. Just go test drive both and decide which you like better. Done. Unless they are paying your bills, their opinion really doesnt matter.

Unbiased answer...
I've driven the 2.0t 2012 Genesis (with your budget you won't be able to obtain the 3.8) and what I can say was that it was fun to drive...it had a pep in its step if you get me. The interior all though was in fact outdated for a car only about 2 years old (2013 has modern and more attractive interior, but again out of price range) , and IMO the interior on a 10 yr old G35 looks better. The ride was decent, not to hard but not too soft where as the Infiniti is just around the same area, they both grab corners equally as good.
Now heading more into performance... Unless you get a 2013 2.0t, you will find yourself driving the 1st gen 4 cyl placed in the Genesis.. Very underpowered, if I remember right it is making around 210hp...When I said fun I meant fun... Not fast.. You just won't get bored. Now the G35 on the other hand has 70+ horses over it (boy do you feel it) and you can fell the difference. Both cars look stunning but personally I love my G..
Both cars also were/are 6mt so double the fun!

I'm not sure if I can agree to that ^ my favorite part on that car are the lights... Anyways rob, take into consideration that I was shopping for a Gen coupe before I found my G (I may even shop for a Gen coupe again later on). But I'm not sure what package you are looking for with the Genesis (GPS? Big screen) but even then the Gen coupe is just a little to boring and bland on the inside. It has that cheapy and plastic look to it, you could say like a 10' honda fit. Though again I think Hyundai did great on the interior for the 2013 models... Now the 07 G35 has beautiful interior, very modern for an 07 with just the slightest hint of class while keeping a sporty look with the style of digital info centers. Oh and forget about it when you sit on one of its chairs... You'll never want to get up!! But just as mentioned above, you really have to sit in both to decide what's right for you! Good luck!
