Question 2004 G35 108k miles 5 A/T prior salvage.

Guys im new here really looking and interested in G35. I cant afford a new one like some haha, my plan is to buy one and keep it forever. I wont be trading it in anytime soon. As the title states.there is a gray 04 g35 with carbon fiber hood and custome headlights. I still haven't had a chance to drive it yet since its about an hour away from where i live. its at a Chevrolet dealer amd they want $6495. this is right in my price range. What is somethings i should look for in this car. I really hope I can find one if this.isn't the right one. if anyone wants to be extra nice an check it out its on cars.com in Ames Iowa 50 miles from 50315 zip.

Make sure before you sign anything have Nissan or Infiniti check the coupe out. Make sure when you drive the coupe, don't just go around the block take it for an extended trip 5 to 10 miles! You don't need to buy a car for less than $7K that will cost you another $7K to keep it running! If the dealerships finds anything wrong deduct that cost from their asking price. Good Luck!

Depends on what it was salvaged for as well.

Major body damage would scare me off

Don't buy that car.

If its something you plan on keeping forever, don't start out with a salvaged title. Also, if your price range is $7k-ish I would wait til you have a bit more saved. This car is 10yrs old, things are gonna start to need to be replaced, and parts for these cars aren't cheap. You don't want the accelerated wear that a salvaged title can bring. There's a reason they're always cheap.
