hey guys I'm in high school and looking for a first car and the G35 was love at first sight but anyways i found one and it has a clean carfax i just wanna know if its a good buy and how much il be spending in repairs in a year thanks.

You'll be spending a lot in rebuilding. Tires go fast and are expensive as fug. Not really a great "budget" car.

i bought my 2004 with 130k on it in late november for 6500$
6mt, great shape for the year and miles. has been nothing but reliable for me.
take it for what it is, but unless it is in near perfect condition i think 8k is a little high.

Ok il see if I can get the price down a little, so have you had any problems with your G in the months you've owned it? And how much do pay to fuel up

the only problem ive had so far is the gas gauge is super broken. ive cleaned both contacts twice so far and it only lasts a couple weeks at most. so im in for a few hundred in parts. other than that its a great car. me telling you my experience isnt really a good factor to place on your car. they are all different.
as long as its been at least semi maintained it should be good to go.

and i honestly have no idea. i never look. maybe around 30?

Depends how much i drive, and if i factor in recent gas prices..or back when it was $3.50 a gallon. Right now i spend about $4K/year on fuel based on how much I drive.


Insurance is your biggest worry. Depending on where you live, it could potentially cost you $3K or so a year to insure the car. Factor in fuel costs which could be $2-3K for average driver, plus repairs and maintainence and the question is can you afford to drive this car?

my car has 101K miles. The only thing that has failed has been the valve covers. Other than that, it has just been maintenance. Brakes, clutch, rotors, fluids,etc. The engine pulls hard to redline and the 6MT is butter! If i had to, I would sell it for no less than $12-13K. So, yes miles are a factor, but i think the bigger factor on price/worth is how the car has been maintained. Regardless of miles, if it hasn't been maintained, i would pass and keep looking.
