Looking to buy a g35 coupe
Hey whats up guys I'm looking to maybe buy a g35 coupe (05-07 preferably) and I found a real nice looking 07 diamond graphite in my area. Assuming everything checks out with the car after a pre purchase inspection, I was just curious what you guys think would be a reasonable price to offer the seller (private sale). I have not yet contacted the seller but he says he will take best offer.
Some specs that he gives in his posting:
- 2007 g35 coupe diamond graphite
- 111,000 miles
- Automatic (it will be my daily)
- 20in Ruff rims
- tinted windows
- new rotors and break pads
- two 12in kenwood subs and amp
He has it listed at $12500. Let me know what you guys think would be a reasonable offer. Thanks in advance!

Depends on the trim level, premium package, nav etc. You can tell him the car is worth 1k less just because of the wheels. Ruff wheels are a red flag, there is a good chance they cheaped out on lots of stuff including maintenance.

Edit: Just looked up the packages offered that year on the coupe. Assuming he has the aero package, he would also have the premium package as well right?

Just as a reference, I bought my 05 coupe with Premium and Sport(Aero) package for $10,500 with 6spd manual and Nav.
You'd have to ask the seller what else comes with the car. I believe some 07's come with the smartkey system and also memory seats. Since he has an 07 but a little higher miles I would try to offer $11500 and go from there.
good luck.

Why not an 04? Not to start "this" argument, but 04 aero/brembo packages with 06 headlights are my favorite. If its an auto you're getting the same motor anyway. Interior is the only slight difference.

11 year old car vs 8 year old car.
Then why do you want a sport front lol
Exactly. An 04 is getting pretty old. Also the gauges look so much better from 05-07. I'm coming from an 08 civic which I know is very basic, yet it is still somewhat modernized with the digital speedo. I feel 05-07 are good years to stay somewhat modern as well as getting quite a nice car.
Another question guys - have any of you ever considered or completed a long distance deal? I know it's more complicated than local, but sometimes a deal too irresistible comes up regardless of distance (found a sale on this forum but I haven't heard back if the G is still for sale).

Pay to have a mechanic check over the car before you finalize anything
My cousin was in the same situation as a seller and his buyer arranged for him to take the car to the local dealer for an inspection

Just make sure buyer has title in hand. Show up with cash, get title, and then you are free to take the car home.
HOW all depends on your state. In my state, if you sell a car you can keep your plates and put them on a new car and have 7 days to reregister it. So I could drive the car home with Bill of sale and title. Your state may not have this so you need to verify how to transport. You could also ship the car.
But basically you have cash, seller has clear title in his name ready to go. That makes it easy.
If the buyer has a loan out, then it's a HUGE pita
to clarify, by long distance i was talking about a sight unseen deal, which would include a PPI (something like Carchex) and then delivery of the car.
@jerseytaylor do you have a for sale posting i could take a look at?
