buying an 05 g35 with 60000 miles for $15k?

Hello I was thinking about buying a g35. Its an 05 coupe with 60000 miles the guy had a couple mods on it but says its in great condition. I just want to know if this car is reliable enough to drop 15 grand on it. I have put some pictures up so you can see.

Well I'm sure you know it isnt a gas saver, more like gas spender. Aside from that, check the KBB for your area. I know they went up in the LA area but dont get dipped. The mods he added doesnt really hike up the price for any car.

Some food for thought, I got my 04 about 3 years ago for 16.5 with 30K miles. Mods on that car are meh. Fact that the guy gut has it as a gas saver makes me feel questionable about him, this car is more like a gas guzzler.

Mods are very low end. Stock 06 oem wheels are actually worth more than ebay xxr wheels. Car is worth about 12k.

I don't trust anyone that says "breaks" over "brakes"

Agree with all above.
This car is not a gas saver unless you compare it to a Suburban. 21-22 mpg average if you baby it with mostly hwy miles.
"Breaks" is when stuff doesn't work, "brakes" will stop your car.
I doubt that car is putting out 305hp at the crank, and no way on a dyno.
Car is top speed governor limited to 155mph, and he doesn't mention a tune, it's not going to hit 160 even if you drop it off a cliff.

I paid about $12K a year ago for mine with half as many miles.

I wouldn't pay a dime over $12K for it. Looks good, but the mods aren't all that expensive and don't really add to the value of the car, unless you are "that buyer that just has to have it".

Descent looking car, and low miles for that year. I bet the driver seat still has a rip in it. Is it manual or auto? I assume it is a manual.

Eh, decent car, but not $15K.

I'd prob remove a lot of the cheap mods myself.

And I LOL'ed at the gas saver comment. My V8 Mustang gets better gas mileage than my stock G35

Clean coupe, doesn't have the 305 hp or the life time BREAKS as advertised! He hasn't made but one "upgrade" which might be the headlights if they're '06 projectors! Stillen intake is a good idea but that's about all. Price is a little high for a G35 with a very common color and cheap wheels...Gary

3.6L stock gets around 18mpg. With lift kit, 35s, and towing a Harley gets around 6mpg.

15k can get you way nicer elsewhere and not some ricers past "build"
