G35x... Hopefully soon maybe
About to buy a broken g35, worth it or not? Please help!

A guy wants to sell me a 2005 g35x 6 speed for $2000, it has 53k miles. The car is in,limp mode and it won't go away, a code ran for a bad camshaft position sensor, he fixed it, but limpmode wont go away. I figured ill grab the car, clean all the sensors and see if thats it? If not, is it as simple as an ECU rewrite? Is it worth the money?

Maybe?

Make a counter offer of $1000.00 and negotiate from there
Once a price is agreed upon make it contingent upon a Infiniti dealer inspection.
Have the dealer run the VIN number for a complete vehicle history. How many owners,?
Purchased in your state?
Ever involved in any floods or accidents?
Why is the mileage so low?
Get an idea of the costs of correcting all the codes and faults.
If the costs are over what you can spend to correct all of them just walk away.
Your only cost is the price of the dealer inspection.

I would verify for myself what diagnostic trouble codes it's throwing. If it still has the camshaft DTC ask what brand he used, most aftermarket sensors don't work so you must use either a Nissan Genuine Parts OEM one or a Hitachi (the OEM supplier).
