Hey guys, I’m unfortunately getting ready to sell my car in order to help pay for school but I’m not too sure what a good price would be to list it for. Here are the details:
- 2006 Infiniti G35 coupe
- REV-UP
- 6-spd manual
- 143,xxx miles
- Obsidian black (some minor paint chips, dent from previous owner on rear bumper)
- Coilovers
- Regular oil changes
- Brand new oem clutch and flywheel
- Brand new tires & rims
- Straight-piped
- 5% tint rear, 20% tint front
- Car runs perfectly, never had any problems with it
Cons are mainly cosmetics:
- Some paint chips
- Like mentioned above, dent on rear bumper
- Some rips on driver and front passenger seat
- Airbag light is on
KBB said a good average price on this car and condition would be around $7k. Does that sound about right? Here’s some pics too
Hey it's basically my car just a little rougher cosmetically! Gotta love that stone interior color
I think $7k sounds like a fair price, however prices vary WILDLY depending on which part of the country you're in. It's almost summertime so therefor sports car season. Post it at $7500, let them talk you down to $7k or $6500 (wherever you set your low limit). Never post a car at the actual price you want to sell for, always post it a little high and "let them talk you down".
If you have rear active steering (RAS light on the dash when you turn the key to ON for the lamp check) then I would mark it a little higher since it was an uncommon option, also use it as a selling point.
Obsidian Black with the Stone interior is significantly cooler in the summer than the black/black interior option, be sure to use that as a selling point as well.
Put the ABS system into diagnostic mode to find out WHY the light is on, then do the ABS reset to clear the light and see if it comes back. There's a really good chance it's for the passenger seat which is fairly easy to repair.
I would DEFINITELY remove (carefully) those stickers on the dash.
On a separate note, you also have the OEM rubber all-weather floor mats which are a HUGE selling point since they are incredibly rare nowadays. That's an easy $200 extra in just floor mats, not kidding.
