2005 coupe, auto, sport-tuned suspension, Lakeshore Slate, 202k
Hello everyone,
Longtime lurker, first time poster. This is to get a feel from the enthusiasts about the salability of our car.
2005 coupe, auto, sport-tuned suspension (staggered wheels), Lakeshore Slate color (seems to be a pretty unusual color), 202k miles.
We are the original owners. She is stock, as purchased from the dealer. Never been modded. No accidents. No racing. Daily driver.
Garaged since new. Rarely driven in inclement winter weather but did so when ice/snow were cleared.
She still drives and rides well, engine is responsive, gear changes are smooth.
She does squeak and creak a little more now but nothing major.
Mechanical:
Major milestone services done at the dealer (do not have all the papers
)
Some oil changes and other routine maintenance done by family friend's small auto shop (now defunct).
I also did some minor maintenance myself - oil changes, filter replacement, spark plugs, etc.
Replaced both camshaft position sensors when 1 began to throw error codes (both OEM)
Replaced driver side window motor and cleaned passenger window motor so they both work.
Existing issues
Driver side door lock does not actuate when temps climb, works in cold weather. You have to manually lock/unlock with key.
Driver-side seatbelt also retracts slowly when temps climb, works better in cold temps. However, it still works.
6-disc CD changer is stuck and will not eject, otherwise the head unit works.
Oil pan leaks - had it worked on twice and it still leaks. Best guesstimate loses about a quart every 1000 miles or so.
Staggered wheels do have curb rash, there is a spare front rim - structurally sound, insurance replaced due to curb rash.
Body has no crash damage, only small dings from careless people }(
There is a larger gouge (about half an inch long) on right quarter panel transition from the trunk to wheel arch. Most likely parking lot incident
Passenger door sill lower has scrapes from a bumper cover that came off a car in front of me on the highway I could not avoid.
No structural damage, only cosmetic.
Interior: rear interior is barely used and looks really good, passenger seat is more worn, driver seat is quite worn but still cradles well.
Center console padded armrest is worn through by driver (where you would put your elbow)
Carpeting needs cleaning, floor mats also need cleaning and are also somewhat worn.
Dash has the unfortunate hairline cracks on the surface.
All gauges work, all controls work, AC blows cold
Was going to keep her as a project car but due to health situation, this is no longer possible.
I would LOVE for her to go to a loving home and someone who would be willing to do the work to maintain her. I think she's worth it.
Is she a viable candidate for rehoming or is she a charity donation? Thoughts?
I can add images if needed for feedback. Just trying to understand what is possible. Thank you in advance!

Charity donation
Regretfully, we have decided to donate her to charity. She has been good to us and hopefully this is a fitting final act.
