Ummm that's not insane if once you factor in options.
Go build a car at Infiniti.com and see what you come up with.
I got my car at invoice and the price came to 37,650. I got everything except satellite radio and the front lip. Oh and mine is an Auto so expect to pay more for the 6MT.
After tax and license my OTD price was just over 40K. Now if you pay anything over invoice that price will go up accordingly and if you God forbid have to pay MSRP you will be looking at 45K easy..........

You could prolly get the 06 OTD for 40k without Nav, that 45K number is exaggerated. And no there isnt going to be markups on msrp for the 06, you could prolly get a few hundred off the msrp if you know how to deal.

Going right off the Infinit site this is the MSRP for a 6MT Silver coupe with graphite leather interior.
Options:
Base MSRP 33,350
Premium 2,450
Aero Kit 1,220
Destination charges 610
Total 37,630.
The above estimates exclude state and local fees and taxes, title fees, license fees, Dealer-imposed finance charges beyond those available through IFS and any other Dealer-added amounts
That comes to 40,414. Dealer inventory tax, 88 dollars. License plates, 40 bucks. Document fee 50 bucks.
That is with a 6MT; the difference between the 6MT and the Auto is 600 dollars.
I also think you should factor in the demand of the area of where you are from. In California I don't see much shifting of the price, in fact in my area (Solano county about 50 miles north of SF) there are markups (and that's not due to the 06's coming in just a fact of life). They will negotiate if you want to lease but coming off of MSRP isn't a given..........

Okay, I'm about done waiting.....
Is this their way of teasing us, by not releasing the prices for the 2006 models???
I saw they have released some...but why not all?? They did Nissan's cars in a large clump.
I know it was just posted, but does anybody have word on when they will release that? That Zsportsguy person should know... He might need to promote his online magazine.
I think I'm going to find a dealer this weekend and put some money down too...

If you are in LA as in Los Angeles, most will take 500 off after about 3 weeks from the point they arrive. If its the first week, not a penny off without financing for a minimum of blah blah months in which case they would have gotten thier money back.
Like I said, fully loaded for me was 39,600, after everything, 43,500, if I financed instead of paying everything cash, it would have been 7,000 more in interest. To me, the G is NOT worth 50K....now we are talking along the lines of an M.
A few dealers I have noticed that have been easy to swing discounts in the beggining are:
Riverside Infiniti
Grubbs Infiniti (Texas though)
Ceritos Infiniti (possibly)
Those who won't in the beggining:
Tustin
Mission Viejo
Miller
Sherman Oaks
Again, the list above is if you are talking about a 6MT and ONLY at the beggining when they reach port. For an auto, work hard, you can get about a couple grand off. I mean the car is going into its fourth year and an endless supply of ATs, this is no Maybach....NEGOTIATE!!!!

Yeah id ont expect a big discount off msrp, but given the fact that I have four dealers less than an hour drive from me, and not to mention Grubbs and the other Dallas area dealers, I dont think Ill be paying full msrp and definitley not markup. If its gonna cost me 45K mite as well start looking for a C6....
