I am buying a G35 but have a few quick ?'s
I am considering a 2005 G35 Coupe 6-spd but have a few questions.
1) Are the '05-06 faster than the '03-04? I know they have more HP but they lost torque.
2) Are the brakes on the '05 as good as the Brembos?
3) Can the same size tire on the back fit the front or do you have to get all new wheels. I am getting the 19's if I get the '05
Thanks.

1) 05-06 is a wash between 03-04...little less torque here, little more horsepower there, little more weight here, little under-rated there, better intake and plenum here, it all evens out. They are the same speed.
2) What is your definition of "good"? Did you know the '03-04 brakes compared to the Brembo's stopped the car in a shorter distance? The Brembo's still have excellent stopping power, but the stockers are a few feet better. The strength of the Brembo's is the amount of times you can do that, under racing conditions the stocker brakes will over heat and be less effective, the Brembo's will keep working under extreme racing conditions.
But Yes, the 05 brakes are just as good, if not better than the Brembo's...unless you're going to the track.
3) No, the 19 couper rims are staggered, the back is wider than the front. I believe front is 8" wide, back is 8.5" wide.
