Initial impressions of Infiniti of Chantilly

In a word: Mixed.

I've heard many others previously describe positive experiences with them. Gary Silver's extension of a free oil change to NGC members encouraged me to bring my car in this morning for the oil change, check out the a creaking passenger window (per TSB), and tranny and diff fluid changes.

The facility is the best Inifiniti dealership in the area. Very nice, clean, and offers good amenities. The Service Advisor (anonymous for now) was very professional and friendly. Complimented the car and did a very thorough walk around. The loaner was a very nice G35x with ~3k miles.

Around noon today, I receive a call from the Service Advisor. I though he was just going to confirm the estimates for the fluid changes. Instead he proceeds to tell me how when they removed the passenger door panel, he saw my aftermarket speakers, and those void the warranty. "What the?" I think silently to myself. He proceeds to say that there are broken door panel clips and loose wires of the speaker that are probably causing the creaking. Do I want to pay $92 to fix those. No thanks. I'll do that myself. He says that since he had not known about the aftermarket speaker and did not provide me with an estimate for the labor of removing the door panel, he won't charge me for that now, but he couldnt do anything more about the window because the speaker voided the warranty. "BS!" I said in kinder words. I invoke Magnusson Moss, and told him I hoped they'd be at least a little mod-friendly. He did not respond. So I think I'll have to take the car back to Passport now. Now c'mon, how much does it really cost to replace some panel clips and tuck the wire? Would have produced alot of good will, but I guess they need to make up for the cost of the free oil change.

I'll reserve further judgment until I pick the car up today. I wonder if they'll scratch it all up now that I've given them this review?

Pardon the relatively long post (by my standards), but it is frustrating that a new dealership that is allegedly courting an enthusiast car club is nickel and diming.

if my dealership did that I would be out for blood. I bought the car personally from the general manager, and I don't hesitate to through his name around whenever I feel I'm being neglected...

I just bought my Coupe from them 3 weeks ago. I dealt with Josh and Paul. These guys were nothing but awesome. Mike is the service manager and he is just as great.

The only problem I had with them was that Tyson's infiniti had the car I wanted. They would not get the car from them but they said they found one in Jersey like the one in Tyson's. ONly I had to pay extra to get it from NJ. They say that Tyson's is shady. They wont do business with them, yet the sales manager and some of the sales guys came from there.

So that bothered me a ton. If it weren't for the 2yr service for free they offer I would have bought from Tyson's. The car was $20/mo cheaper at Tyson's.

I've dealt with the guys over at passport infiniti over off of picket st in alexandria. I dealt with ransey odaniel. Those guys were absolutely professional. I did not buy my car from them only for the simple fact that I couldn't sell my current car at the time.

Be wary of their internet sales guy. He treats you like you're a tard. I think his name is mike.
