Getting My G soon Two Question

1st?

Has anyone opted to use the conventional leather bra instead of the clear bra, if so how does it look any pics!!!?

2nd?
Does the rear active steering help improve the turning radius of the car which I believe is currently 36 to 37 ft?

Thanks.

1. factory bra is hideous. i had one on my car, and everyone suggested me to take it off immediately. i did not take any picture bc it was ugly, and the fitting wasnt all that good. (the factory bras never seem to fit that good on any cars anyways.)

2. turning radius of g35c is not good or bad. (compared to all the cars ive driven b4, its more towards bad side...)

Thanks for the info, I will go ahead and spring for the clear bra. Do you have the clear bra and if so how long does it take to install?

Clear bra is the way to go but it can be expensive and i won't do it my self unless you have experience. install here in NY for front (bumper, Hood, Fender, side mirror) is around 6 - 7 hundred. I wish i have the extra money and i'll sure go for it, but i'm saving my money for MREV, Headers upgrade!

Funny i have this Nice car yet at the end of the month my money is gone just for car payment and insurance....

ummm..... i don't think anyone brought up the new IS..... cough.... 4 door.... cough cough....

But on the rear active steering, I believe it only slightly flexes the shock/springs in certain situations to adjust things, I don't think it kicks in during U-turns.

IMO, it is a waste of money, could just be another expensive part to replace, isn't necessary at all, and is just more crap to pile on for the sake of luxury.

Yeah I understand the G is kind of pushing it for my budget, but I think its worth it. I wasn't thinking of doing the install myself but having the dealer or some local shop do it. I figured it should not take more than 3 hours or so. Also is it true that they use razors to cut the clear bra does this affect the paint?

Some people have complained about slices in the paint, but that's really a matter of who installed it.

Ad for rear-steering, I thought it was just like the 300ZX TT where it physically turned the rear tires. I thought it was active during slow turns as well, but to a greater degree than when at high speeds (for obvious reasons). I could be off-base, as I haven't investigated the option at all. Just going off of Nissan's previous rear-steer system.

^ I used to own a 1990 300zxTT, and the rear-steering system on the cars (as well as 240sx's at the time) was called Super HICAS (High Capacity Actively-Controlled Steering). Up until 94 they were using a hydraulic servo to control slight rear wheel steer, then in 94 it changed to an electric motor.

Many, many people disabled the system as it tended to cause strange and unpredictable steering patterns at higher speeds to more seasoned drivers.

However, the new Rear-Steering system that is used is vastly different than it was in the past. I still don't see it as very usefull in a RWD car however.
