I'd be a little wary of .com warranty sites... they may not be around in a few years. I wish I could remember the name of the company, but I think I read some horror stories from folks who bought warranties from a 3rd party outfit that folded, leaving them with nothing -- not even a refund of the money they paid for the warranty.

I know you asked specifically about warrantydirect... I have not heard much about them. What does google say?

warrantydirect.com is very reputable actually. They have been in business for quite a while. I was looking into them, they have good coverages, but their rates were just a little higher than what I wanted to pay.

 

some external warranty companies are a joke. i know i had a few customers complain that they received letters they are out of warranty already and so forth thinking that infiniti sent it to them. API is a reputable warranty that a lot of small mechanical shops are even covered.

 

Yes and they were great. They are the only ones I would trust. They are one of the biggest ones too.
